Brown Bear Car Wash

This is a staple location in Des Moines; easy to access and usually not too crowded. Sometimes the vacuums don't all work, but it's clean and the staff is very friendly.

Great Wash, Tough Logistics Brown Bear Car Wash consistently delivers a great wash. The staff here are fantastic — attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. You can tell they care about the customer experience. The wash itself is excellent. It’s hands down better than a typical gas station wash or even Costco. My car almost always comes out clean, and I really appreciate that they offer free vacuums and rags so you can dry your car afterward. That’s a nice touch and adds value. That said, the logistics of the lot are challenging. Because of how the property is shaped, after you go through the wash, you have to drive around the block and re-enter the lot to access the vacuum stations or drying area. There’s also limited space to wait while others finish up, so on a busy Saturday things can feel hectic. Additionally, a couple of the vacuum spots require you to back into oncoming traffic since there’s no way to pull forward, which can be awkward and a bit stressful. Overall, it’s a great car wash with wonderful staff — just be prepared for some tight maneuvering during peak times.

Brown Bear Car Wash is my go-to car wash. I’ve been to this location a few times now, and the service is usually pretty good. I like that they have free vacuum service. A quick heads up: entering the lot can be a little tricky if you’re coming from the north. Also, if you want to use the vacuums after your wash, you’ll need to loop around to get back in, since the exit doesn’t lead directly to the vacuum area. It’s not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. Overall, I’d still absolutely recommend them. FYI - they are much better at cleaning than the car wash at Costco.

In my opinion Brown Bear car Wash is the best I spent about $25 a month and I get unlimited car washes. What a great deal

I use Brown Bear Car Wash quite regularly. I must admit the staffs in majority of the locations are very helpful; though I’ve never reviewed their services yet. Today was the day I can’t ignore at 22706 Marin View Dr S in Des Moines (South Seattle WA). My Subaru Crosstrek fitted with cargo box on the top and bike mount on the back couldn’t go in the wash tunnel for obvious reasons. I was straggling to unmount the EXEL Thule cargo box and one the most attentive team members named Steven Prak run up to me to help. I was impressed with his courteous demeanor and helpfulness. That was awesome. He helped me mount the same bulky box after wash. I offered a cash tip but he refused to accept saying “I’m here to help my customers. This is my job brother.” The entire team were great and respectful. I hope this won’t change. What a service. Kudos Team!!
